Class 3 Gallery
This term our topic has been Ancient Egypt. We produced some wonderful projects, designed and made our own Egyptian collars and even had the opportunity to visit the oriental Museum in Durham.
Children in class 3 have been using the technique of printing using different colours to create images of animals.
As part of our science topic we disected a daffodil to identify the parts of a flower and discussed their roles.
Year 4 children have been learning Spanish at St Bede’s School. They learned how to say their names, colours, animals and how to construct a sentence.
Class 3’s science topic is rocks. The children were really excited when they got the opportunity to explore a variety of rocks. They created their own descriptions and compared each of the rocks. We used the work to create a display in the classroom.
Children from year 3 and 4 have been trained through Durham University as Science Ambassadors. Children took part in lots of practical science activities and presented their findings to the group. The children are looking forward to developing their role as Science Ambassadors in school.
In English we have been reading The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. We have been doing lots of writing, diary entries and role play based on the story. Take a look at our role play gallery .
